#restore: a new role for the point of sale

Homi will host the award ceremony for the Gia Italia stores

The lockdown placed outlets selling products for the home under a huge strain. Retailers, however, put fought back and worked hard to keep their link with their customers and the market to emphasize their role, not only as a commercial space, but also as a qualifying element of the urban fabric. They were able to transform the pandemic into an opportunity to experiment with new ways of selling and new languages to speak with consumers.


And in the New Normal, this acceleration toward innovation has continued through new initiatives. Approaches that we, at Casastile, as a magazine of the sector, wish to highlight and reward through the Global Innovation Award Italy - the national edition of an international contest of which the magazine has been a partner for over 10 years.

 

A project joined by Homi in its role of reference hub. For this reason, the award ceremony will take place during Hobi, on March 13, and will be an opportunity to tell 18 "stories of stores" (from Veneto to Sardinia) very different from each other but capable of portraying an evolving distribution system.

 

Among the stores that submitted their application, the editorial staff of Casastile selected eighteen, which were then reviewed by a jury of experts (architects, academics, journalists, consumer experts ...) and also by the Internet users.

 

During the event, the top stores in the various categories will be awarded and the overall winner will represent Italy in the international contest, which will be held in Chicago, on the occasion of the 2023 edition of The Inspired Home Show.

 

Small specialized businesses and big stores, "historical" spaces and newly opened ones always characterised by a common element: their commitment to live the retailer experience with an entrepreneurial spirit.  

 

Omnichannel, experience, engagement, coordinated image on and off-line, sustainability... are all crucial issues that shape their approach to business. However, the focus is always on the human factor, the inescapable role of the personal relationship with the customer, a relationship based on competence, empathy, attention and keeping up to date.

 

That's why the event that, not surprisingly, we named #restore wants to be an opportunity for retailers to meet and talk but also for companies and experts to do the same thing.

Growing together to make the "beauty" of the world of home décor even more attractive.
