At HOMI Independent - which will be held from 16 to 19 September at fieramilano (Rho) - the valorisation of the local areas and the excellence of the Italian districts is embodied by the Region of Sicily, where six companies show their craftsmanship, creativity, traditional techniques but also contemporary materials and technological innovation.

The exhibiting companies joined the call for the participation of small and medium-sized Sicilian companies in international and national trade fairs, scheduled up to the first two months of 2023.

Attention to detail and twenty years of experience of master craftsmen for Agarèn - the sign, the brand that offers furnishing ideas for contemporary living, reinterpreting the tradition of Caltagirone ceramics. A tribute to the beauty of ancient Sicily and “Sicilianity”, inspired by a legend of love and jealousy set during the Arab domination of Sicily.

Born from lava are the flowers by Atelier Artesole in Giarre that transforms volcanic basalt into works of art through the skilful hands of expert creators. The material that the Etna volcano offers, material that to many appears grey, shapeless and soulless, is transformed into amazing and imaginative creations. Atelier Artesole is part of the Etna Lava Stone District. Lava stone is environmentally friendly and, once enamelled, is stain-resistant, corrosion-proof and highly resistant.

Ceramiche Siciliane Pattesi-CSP was founded in Patti (Messina), home of the decorative art of ceramics, by seven former employees of the company Ceramiche Siciliane Ruggeri, forming a cooperative to continue the Pattese tradition. It produces hand-painted ceramics, designed and made entirely in Italy. The entire production chain - design, creation, implementation of designs, marketing - is carried out at the Sicilian factory.

An expression of tradition, passion and colour, Colori del Sole is an “ambassador of slow production”, handcrafted products, made by skilled craftsmen, proud of their tradition and their country. “Colori del Sole is a Sicilian offspring, and like Sicily, it is made of sun, earth and sea, salt and sweat, and the tears of the people who have inhabited it for millennia, loving and hating it at the same time”.

The craft company D.A.P. porcelain was founded in1951 on the initiative of Pietro Busetta, a master decorator, and is now run by his son Giovanni and his wife Emanuela, who ingrate the master's classic decorations with new ideas and a pinch of modern flair.

Sicily Home Collection was born from ancient Sicilian traditions with the colours, emotions, subjects and shapes that represent the art of decorating. The new collection can easily adapted to any type of environment, business or residential.
