Online yes, but without giving up on making a difference

Sustainability, functionality, design, careful selection of eco-friendly materials, for a production that enhances local excellence. The renaissance of artisan ateliers also goes through e-commerce and online shops, rewarding the Made in Italy, quality and uniqueness

The rebirth of artisan ateliers goes through e-commerce and online shops. New ways of offering the shopping experience to build customer loyalty, raise awareness of the products and reach new markets. Rewarding the made in Italy and spreading quality and uniqueness

There are now many companies that, in order to promote, disseminate and position Italian excellence on the market are committed to the development of e-commerce tools, well aware that online shopping does not hinder traditional store sales. On the contrary: both methods are complementary because their goal is the same.

Rippotai Ecodesign - "A product with a soul, made by the soul of those who designed it and wanted it with all their heart" - was born with the intent of promoting strictly made in Italy manufacturing that is also eco-friendly. The home decor elements are based on ideas of sustainability, functionality and design, as well as on a careful selection of eco-friendly materials, for manufacturing that highlights the excellence of the territory.

An approach to responsible design that makes e-commerce a tool for communicating the concept of honesty and good ethics commercially, creatively and operationally.

The company is focusing a lot of its resources on its new e-commerce to show new products and offering new ideas for the management of living and work spaces.

Because "it is from small and medium sized companies like this that progressive optimism spreads and, above all, made in Italy craftsmanship of the old trades is rediscovered... Holding a "living" item that will remain forever with the person who bought it is the challenge faced by the made in Italy companies".

Handmade: what a passion

Attracted by a new found sense of warmth and authenticity, consumers are rediscovering and appreciating handmade products. A trend that, under the name of Handmade effect, sees people more willing to buy - even if more expensive - handmade objects, which is a trend that bodes well for Made in Italy.

Here are some virtuous examples of the #homicommunity

13ricrea is the company of "luxury eco-design" that, wanted and led since 2007 by Angela Mensi, modernly interprets the needs of a contemporary and versatile target, marked by respect for the values of re-cycling and up-cycling. In fact, it creates furnishings and objects with unusual materials, derived from other productions such as nautical canvas, coated PVC used for tensile structures, gazebos, and truck tarpaulins. The result is coloured petals, used as coverings for outdoor seats and vases, or roses or curls to upholster puffs, armchairs and sofas made from felt scraps from the production of shoe insoles.

A perspective of happy, joyful and ethically productive recovery, whose strength lies in the size and manual skills, deliberately remaining a "craft workshop".

Arte in olivo is a family, before being a company that, in its third generation, is engaged in the processing of 100% Italian olive wood. Kitchen cutlery, chopping boards, giftware, furniture, parquet, sawn and semi-finished products, all rigorously made of olive wood. A resistant, durable raw material, capable of being shaped and taking on the most original forms and aspects.

Wally 1925 offers room fresheners, perfumed paper, perfumes for the person, eau de cologne and perfumed talcum powder. In the light of new cosmetology knowledge, it offers formulations with the quality and genuineness of the craft products of the past. Each perfume contains high concentrations of essential oils, tuned with synthetic molecules. The essences used for the perfumes and fragrances are designed to evoke olfactory perceptions typical of the Tuscan region.

The efficacy and safety of the products is guaranteed by the presence in the company of a laboratory for research and development, quality controls and the use of selected raw materials. Liquid and standard soaps, body washes in many different essences, bath salts, shampoos and conditioners, body care creams, face care creams and detergents complete the line of products offered.

Linked to the old Florentine tradition, Pescarissi Art Deco has been creating Florentine and religious items in wood for three generations. For the processing of its products, the company uses the same tools and equipment in use in the old shops of Florentine craftsmen. To give every single piece a sense of antiquity.

An exquisitely artisan company, Vanni Pratesi & Rogai has been operating since 1964 in the field of artistic leather, a sector that has boasted a noble tradition since the Renaissance, in Italy and particularly in Florence. Even at that time, book covers, jewellery boxes, wall panels, chair upholstery and desk sets were already being made.

Solid vegetable-tanned leather is still used today, cut and soaked in water, mounted on wooden moulds, dried, coloured with aniline and alcohol, polished with wax, decorated and finished. Each item is created entirely by hand.

Pascucci is an ancient artisan workshop of hand-printed canvases, founded in 1826. The printing technique has been the same for seven generations: wooden templates, impregnated with colour, are placed on the fabric and struck with a mallet. So, little by little, tablecloths and curtains are embossed with ornamental and floral patterns from the rich heritage of the Romagna tradition.

In the Gambettola workshop, the process of xylographic printing is revived: the hand-carved wooden templates, impregnated with the dye paste, decorate linen fabrics with geometric, floral or animal figures that are part of the rich iconographic heritage of the people.
